Getting Your Home Ready for Photos & Floorplan Scanning
Before your listing goes live, we’ll schedule professional photos and a detailed floorplan scan to help your home stand out. These are the first things buyers will see online, and we want them to make a strong impression — the kind that gets people to stop scrolling and start scheduling tours.
Our photographer and floorplan team (yep, we keep that in-house!) will do the heavy lifting when it comes to capturing your space, but getting your home ready before we arrive makes a big difference. We want to make sure your property shows in its best light from the very start — without needing to reschedule or move things around while we’re on-site.
Here’s a straightforward guide to help you get everything prepped ahead of time.
General Prep: Set the Tone
✅ Declutter All Living Spaces
Tidy up surfaces — counters, tables, desks, dressers — and store away anything that doesn’t need to be seen. This includes remotes, mail, toys, and small appliances. The goal is to let the space speak for itself.
✅ Clean Like You Mean It
A clean home not only looks better in photos, it also tells buyers something important: this is a home that’s been well cared for. A sparkling space gives the impression that things like repairs, maintenance, and seasonal upkeep have been handled with the same level of care.
✅ Remove Personal & Distracting Items
Family photos, personal care products, flashy décor — these are better stored away for now. We want buyers to imagine themselves living in the space, not feel like they’re visiting yours.
✅ Turn On All Lights
Go room by room and make sure every bulb works, then flip all the switches on. Well-lit spaces feel bigger, warmer, and more inviting.
✅ Open All Blinds & Curtains
Natural light is your best friend in photos. Opening window treatments helps the space feel open, fresh, and connected to the outdoors.
✅ Tuck Away Pet Supplies
That includes beds, toys, bowls, and litter boxes. We love pets — but buyers need to focus on your home, not the four-legged residents.

📐 Floorplan Scanning
We use a combination of advanced mobile device scanning, photo reference, and laser measurements to create accurate, detailed, and high-quality floorplans of your property prior to listing. To help us get it right the first time:
Open all interior doors
Turn on every light
Keep floors as clear as possible
Avoid walking through the space during the scan
Move any furniture or items blocking tight hallways or doors
⏰ Before We Arrive
